"Before you are a leader, success is all about growing yourself. When you become a leader, success is all about growing others." - Jack Welch
Leadership Fayetteville began in 1982 upon an ideal that great community depends upon sound leadership. As we enter its 25th year, over 500 of our citizens have participated in this incredible program.
The objective of Leadership Fayetteville is
to educate, challenge, and motivate traditional and non-traditional
leaders to utilize their leadership skills to work towards the betterment
of our community. The program recognizes that Fayetteville is constantly
and continuously changing and needs people who are devoted to the
betterment of its community. Leadership Fayetteville serves as a
source to identify future Chamber and Civic Leaders who want to
be involved with this process.
The time investment for this program is one
day a month for nine months. During this time, Leadership Fayetteville
participants are introduced to the various areas where our community
needs strong and dynamic leaders. Leadership development is enhanced
by the nine sessions through hands on experience and information
sessions given by some of our community's most influential leaders.
Another benefit of the program is the
great networking opportunities afforded our participants. Each year,
the class is composed of participants from all leadership levels.
From CEOs to marketing and public relations reps, there is something
for everyone in this program. Additionally, Leadership Fayetteville
gives participants the opportunity to meet community leaders they
may not have met on their own.
