What business/civic organizations are you associated with (list leadership roles): Chairman, Life is Worth Living.

 

As a candidate, what are your top three policy issues?

Improve community pride, neighborhood improvement, cleanliness & safety, and transit

 

What specific NEW initiative would you suggest for economic growth in Fayetteville? How would it be implemented? I'm not saying this is a NEW initiative, but we need to do better with an old concept, which is improve marketing.

 

Can Fayetteville and Cumberland County successfully consolidate/merge their governments? What would be the benefits/problems of consolidating the two into one? Consolidate/merge governments at this moment is interesting. What would be idea is that the city concentrate on making this the best possible city it can be for the residents we currently have. There are a number of issues we as a city need to address before moving into consolidation. Quality of life issues such as employment, housing, transit, safety, etc to name a few.

 

What do you believe to be the city council’s greatest accomplishments and disappointments in the last two years? We were responsive to the citizen initiated concerns. The disappointment was that we failed to provide adequate transit services to all our citizens

 

How should the city best leverage the impact of the BRAC process? 

 

How the city council and the business community can work more effectively to build a better workforce? That we the Council, and businesses should invent better ideas and ways to market our city. Marketing is the key.

 

What would you do to work cooperatively with the other members of the city council? communicate.
