What business/civic organizations are you associated with (list leadership roles): Sr. Democrats of Cumberland County

 

As a candidate, what are your top three policy issues? 1. the environment 2. eldercare 3. welfare/health reform

 

What specific NEW initiative would you suggest for economic growth in Fayetteville? How would it be implemented? Growth management within constraints of our natural resources. Education is critical to implementation of new methodologies.

 

Can Fayetteville and Cumberland County successfully consolidate/merge their governments? What would be the benefits/problems of consolidating the two into one? Consolidation would switch the science from economics to sociology where the emphasis is driven by efficiency and effectiveness. Such consolidation would conform to religious dictates- to be one.

 

What do you believe to be the city council’s greatest accomplishments and disappointments in the last two years? The Council has many strengths. However, more highly qualified participants with experience in government would be an improvement.

 

How should the city best leverage the impact of the BRAC process? The BRAC process requires professional study and analysis due to the long-term nature of the process.

 

How the city council and the business community can work more effectively to build a better workforce? Consolidate personnel departments and improve opportunities for staff development.

 

What would you do to work cooperatively with the other members of the city council? Utilize team-building skills and understand strengths and weaknesses of the council members to better facilitate/support relationships.
